The Freshest Design Forward Stays of 2025

As interior designers, we’re constantly inspired by beautifully curated spaces that elevate the art of hospitality. From the breathtaking landscapes of Big Sky, Montana, to the timeless charm of Portofino, Italy, we seek out hotels that are not only inviting but also exquisitely crafted to evoke serenity, indulgence, and inspiration. This year brings an array of stunning new stays, and we can’t wait to share them with you. Here are some of the most exciting openings on our radar.

One&Only Hotel in Big Sky, Montana

The highly anticipated One&Only Moonlight Basin brings an inspiring blend of luxury and nature to our backyard in Big Sky, Montana. Featuring 73 guest rooms and suites, 19 guest cabins, and 62 private residences, the resort is seamlessly integrated into the breathtaking mountain landscape. Created by famed architecture firm Olsen Kundig, its architecture embraces indoor-outdoor living, with floor-to-ceiling glass windows that frame uninterrupted views of snow-capped peaks. We’re obsessed with the clean, minimalistic design and the way it enhances the connection to nature while offering the ultimate in luxury and relaxation.

Four Seasons Yacht Experience

Four Seasons Yachts redefines luxury at sea with an elevated design that blends sophistication, exclusivity, and world-class hospitality. The sleek, custom-built vessels feature expansive suites with floor-to-ceiling windows, private plunge pools, and elegant interiors designed to feel like a floating Four Seasons hotel. Thoughtfully curated spaces, from serene wellness areas to chic dining venues, create an intimate yet indulgent onboard experience. With a focus on craftsmanship and innovation these yachts set a new standard for high-end travel on the water.

Splendido A Belmond Hotel in Portofino Italy

Splendido is a stunning example of timeless Italian luxury, merging historic charm with modern elegance. Perched on a hillside overlooking the Ligurian coast, its interiors exude classic sophistication, with hand-painted frescos, stunning checkered marble floors, and antique furnishings that honor its heritage as a 16th-century monastery. The interplay of natural materials and soft Mediterranean hues enhances the seamless connection between interior and exterior spaces, drawing guests into the breathtaking coastal scenery. Every design detail, from the lush gardens to the sun-drenched terraces, cultivates an atmosphere of effortless glamour and tranquility, further elevating Belmond’s signature Italian hospitality.

Britannic Explorer A Belmond Train from England to Wales

The Britannic Explorer, Belmond's forthcoming luxury sleeper train debuting in July 2025, exemplifies a blend of classic elegance and contemporary comfort. Interior design firm Albion Nord has reimagined 11 former Grand Hibernian coaches, drawing inspiration from the British landscapes they traverse. The train features 18 lavish cabins, including grand suites with rich textures, a serene countryside palette, and marble en-suite bathrooms. The observation car, wrapped in rich textiles and warm amber glass that casts a golden glow at dusk, functions as the train’s social hub serving up delicious cocktails. Meanwhile, the dining cars, adorned with botanical tapestries reminiscent of an English country garden, complements the gourmet menus featuring local provenance and produce crafted by Michelin-starred chef Simon Rogan.

Here’s to a year of beautifully curated spaces, elevated travel experiences, and endless design inspiration.
