Our Round Up at Round Top
April 26, 2024
A peek into our day in Round Top, Texas
Favorite Venue
Our day started at what ended up being one of our favorite venues of all the shows, Marburger Farm Antique Show. We loved this venue due to the diversity of unique dealers and curated pieces. This esteemed show features an array of styles from a large number of dealers, offering pieces that promise to bring richness into your interiors.
Lulu's for Lunch
We hit up the local hotspot Lulu's for lunch to try some of their delicious Italian food. The space is designed with the perfect mix of Texas countryside while being reminiscent of a high end sophisticated New York restaurant. Everything was delicious and the carbonara is a dish we're looking forward to having again on a future occasion.
Favorite Vendor
Our next stop was Paul Michael Company because we can never miss a show without stopping by. PMC is a distinguished furniture and antiques dealer known for their eclectic collections, sourcing one-of-a-kind pieces from around the globe and offering a beautiful collection of furniture, decor, and accents. Their dedication to quality and individually has made them one out our most beloved destinations for unique pieces.
Visiting Ellis Motel
To end off our day we stopped for drinks at the lounge Ellis Motel. This authentic Texas emporium is full of design inspiration from eclectic art to swanky furniture pieces and accessories. Some of the pieces in this motel can even be purchased, so we perused the shop and enjoyed a delicious cocktail to wrap up our time at Round Top.
Favorite Pieces
To finish up our roundup here are some of our favorite finds. Texture and materiality caught our eye throughout the day with a fresh take on woven materials and wood, these pieces feature organic shapes and contrasting materials making them feel brand new. Another design layer we're excited about is the rise of bright art varying applications from neon signs to large canvases. We love the personality and mix of old and new they bring to the vignettes throughout the shows.
So long Round Top! See you again soon!
